Joe Kelley

Joe Kelley is the Broker and Co-Owner of Kelley & Katzer Real Estate, bringing more than 20 years of full-time real estate experience to buyers, sellers, investors, developers, and property owners throughout Western Massachusetts, Northern Connecticut, and surrounding markets.

Joe began his real estate career at a young age, selling his first home at just 21 years old, and has been fully committed to the industry since 2004. Known for his energy, approachable style, local market knowledge, and strong work ethic, Joe has built his career around helping clients make informed real estate decisions with confidence.

Joe earned his Massachusetts Real Estate Salesperson and Broker’s Licenses through the Lee Institute in Brookline, Massachusetts, and also holds a Broker’s Price Opinion Certification. He is licensed in both Massachusetts and Connecticut and is a member of the Realtor Association of Pioneer Valley, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors.

Over the course of his career, Joe has gained extensive experience across many areas of real estate, including residential sales, commercial sales and leasing, investment properties, new construction, land development, condominium projects, and renovation and resale opportunities. In addition to helping clients buy and sell property, Joe has been actively involved as a managing partner in multiple real estate investment and development ventures, including residential rental properties, commercial assets, new construction homes, home rehabs, and redevelopment projects.

His development experience includes projects such as Angelica Estates in Westfield, Somerset Heights in West Springfield, The Estates at Steplar Crossing in Easthampton, and the redevelopment of a former Knights of Columbus Hall in Palmer into a medical office facility. More recently, Joe and his partners completed their second condominium subdivision, Nicols Way at Pineview Estates in Easthampton, Massachusetts, and are beginning their next condominium development, Sycamore Lane at Whispering Pines, also located in Easthampton.

Born and raised in West Springfield, Joe’s roots in the community run deep. He attended St. Thomas School, West Springfield High School, Bridgton Academy, and Bryant University, where he studied Business Administration. Joe was also honored as a member of BusinessWest’s 40 Under Forty class of 2022.

Today, Joe continues to live in West Springfield with his wife, Keri, and their two young sons, Theodore and Harrison. Inspired by his parents’ long-standing commitment to community involvement, Joe remains active in supporting local organizations and charitable causes. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the West Springfield Boys & Girls Club, where he is also a member of the Executive Committee and serves as 1st Vice Chair. Joe also serves on the Mercy Medical Center Philanthropy Advisory Board and has supported organizations including Rays of Hope, the Sister Caritas Cancer Center, and the Parish Cupboard. He also serves as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in West Springfield.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with his family, especially in Rockport and Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
